Our Story
In 1987, my parents dreamt and visualized a small business based on my late father's skill in carving wood. They started with one frame to another item. They had the opportunity to manufacture more wood products in 51-A Nangalisan, Laoag City which they named Joanne's Upholstery and Furniture Shop and stayed as occupancy for eighteen years. As they pursued a larger income, they bought their own piece of land for the business on the National Highway of San Nicolas and renamed the shop AJ's Upholstery and Furniture Shop for ten years. As they struggled to pay debts, they decided to sell the place to buy a low-cost one and rebuild our shop which today, is the well-known Tayag's Upholstery and Furniture Shop. When my mother turned sixty, she allowed me to own the business.
Founded with a deep appreciation for the art of upholstery and a desire to create furniture that lasts a lifetime, Tayag's Upholstery and Furniture Shop has been a beacon of quality in the industry for 36 years. What began as a humble endeavor has blossomed into a thriving family-owned business known for its commitment to quality, artistry, and personalized service.
